Things nobody told you about sending your first kid to preschool.

Thank you to Nui Organics for sending the dress pictured in this post.
You can find her dress [here] and her Hunter boots [here].

Last week was Lilly's last day of Preschool for this school year and I am still sitting here in disbelief. We decided to enroll her on a whim because Austin was deploying and we knew I could use the break, even if it was only a few hours a week. I had never left the girls with anyone besides my mom, and a handful of other super close friends and family. Making this choice was a huge deal. I knew such a large step would come with many emotions but I had no idea how much I would learn over the school year.

Obviously you know sending your first child to preschool will bring on tons of feelings, but there was no way to prepare how strong those emotions are. The first day I was so anxious I almost went back in and said never mind lets go home. As the year passes your emotions change. I was thankful, happy and sad every week.
Your child will grow, I had no idea how different Lilly would be at the end of the year. Her personality became even more strong, she is so sure of who Lilly is. We learned to be apart, and I learned how nice it is to have a few hours with just Piper. I was able to give Piper the one on one attention Lilly got as an only child, or I was able to run errands with only one child.
I miss school so much and she has only been out a week. I started to love that time, where Lilly got to play with kids her age, and I got a little break. To be honest, I am also a little anxious how I am going to grocery shop with both kids again. I am so glad we took the leap and put Lilly in preschool and I know we made the right choice for her.

  1. I just love you shared the tips. I know about the kids fashion brand Nui Organics. There is another smart brand name Lfoh for kids clothes.
