His & Her Christmas Wish List
12/09/2015
Christmas is hard for adults, probably because if an adult wants something they usually can go buy it for themselves. Austin couldn't even name one thing he wanted this year which mean I had to get creative. Here are a few unique ideas some that people don't think of every day, some that you might. Either way I hope it gives you some inspiration.

Piper - Five Months Old
10/04/2015
I refuse to acknowledge that the next Piper update will be her six month one. That is all.
Clothing and Diaper Size -
We
are in 3-6 month clothing still but barely.
We are comfortably in size three diapers.

Piper is obsessed with Mikey Mouse like any other baby or toddler. She still loves being worn, her mamaroo, and morning snuggles in bed with Mommy. She loves bath time and getting her neck cleaned but hates afterwards. A new favorite is face timing Daddy, that girls face lights up when she sees him. So sweet.
Dislikes -
We have been working on new teeth and she has not liked having me out of sight. We have spent a lot of time nursing and cuddling to help her get through it.
Sleep -
She is sleeping better than her sister, I can tell you that much.

Eating -
Still nursing very well but she wants real food so bad. She even tries to grab it off my plate if I am holding her while I eat.
Firsts -
Piper is getting so much stronger at tummy time and has started scooting just a little. We are picking up toys and playing with them now and really working on motor skills.

Pony Rides
Better late than never, I am here to drop some photos from Lillys pony
ride and petting zoo adventure my mom took her on last month. My mom created a
bucket list for the summer and man did they have fun. Lilly went on her
first pony ride at the fair a few weeks prior and had such a blast that my
mom planned a fun day for the girls with pony rides, farm
animals, and frozen yogurt. Talk about some lucky girls!

life lately.
10/03/2015
Hey y'all, I know I have been even more quite than normal lately but as most of you know Austin has headed out for work and wont be home for a few months. We knew this was coming but there really is no preparation you can make for parenting solo.
Although things around here are hectic I wanted to carve out some time and say thank you to the ones of you stopping by on Instagram, those of you texting me, and those of you keeping us in your thoughts and prayers. I have really felt the love and y'all it really does mean so much. The girls and I have been keeping super busy, and even made it out junking this weekend. I am hoping to share some of the projects I have been working on soon but I'm not promising anything. I am pretty positive my posts will be far more speratic but as we get into our groove I will try and hop on here and check in with yall from time to time.
As always thank you for your support.

From white to bright with Chairish.

It is no secret I am a lover of white. If I buy used furniture you can almost guarantee it will be getting a coat of Annie Sloan Pure White, but that doesn't mean I don't love color. Today I am paired up with Chairish to jump out of my comfort zone and create a bright fun space around one of their chairs. Using shades of coral and blue, with pops of gold I created a modern space to hang out.

Piper - Four Months Old
9/04/2015
I feel like I could gush and gush about Piper forever. This sweet girl has been one of the most amazing things to happen to me. She already has taught me so much in her short time here and I am beyond thankful for her. I dont know what it is about our sweet Piper but I just get this aura from her and I truly believe she will be one wise adult who leaves a mark on this world. I cant help but picture what our conversations will look like when she is a young lady.
Clothing and Diaper Size -
We are in 3-6 month clothing, and trying to use up the rest of our size two diapers so we can move up to size threes (which is only one size lower than big sister!).
Likes -
Right now Piper loves watching TV with big sister and its basically the only way we get things done anymore, because other then that she has to have Mommy or Daddy holding her.
Dislikes -
Piper does not want to be put down right now and its instant tears if we do.
Sleep -
We have been waking up more at night to eat but I still feel very rested so it hasn't been that bad.

Eating -
I think we have been going through another growth spurt because she seems to be eating much more. At her well baby she was up to 13.4 lbs so one thing is for sure, she is growing!
Firsts -
Piper rolled from her back to her front on August first right after her sisters birthday party! She has been doing baby crunches and getting SO strong. She also have FIVE teeth coming in.

what we are working on
8/25/2015
Remember a few posts back when I said I had an idea for a new series? Well folks here it is - what we are working on. We have so many projects in the works here, everyday its something new. So this series will be a glimpse of what is currently changing in our home.
We have this awkward space against the house where grass wasn't growing and it was just rocks and looked ICK so I decided to plant some wildflowers on a whim. They are starting to sprout and I cant wait to see if it will turn out the way I envision, especially since I planted WAY late in the season.
A few weeks ago we picked up some shutters for practically nothing and I have had so much fun coming up with ideas for them. A couple sets are already hung on the wall for decorations but the larger sets are being turned into a side table, a bookcase, and a nightstand. Cant wait for it to all be finished and show you what I came up with.
We finally are making some headway in Pipers room and I should be able to do a reveal soon! We are also completely rearranging out bedroom, another idea I got on a whim. Austin, he is insanely patient with me. This involves him remounting our TV and ridiculously heavy mirror then filling the massive holes they will leave behind. He is a saint I tell ya.

Pipers Newborn Photos
8/21/2015
I got these back awhile and forgot to share, so while I get this post ready I will just be a puddle of mush on the floor. The newborn phase goes by way to quickly.
Lilly helped the photographer get the camara ready while I nursed Piper and I just adore her photos as well.

Hutch Makeover
8/12/2015
I have been sharing peaks of this hutch (I have no self control) on my instagram but I am excited to finally get around to showing you a before photo. I picked this hutch up off our local bst for like $80 before we had even closed on our house. I have been wanting a hutch to display milk glass on and this one was just begging for a makeover.
First I started by taking the weird railing off the shelves in the middle, then I painted the hutch Pure White in Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. After some distressing I replaced the white knobs with ones that matched the hinges. Austin took the coke bottle glass out of the doors and we replaced that with some chicken wire.
I seriously LOVE how it turned out and have so much fun searching for new milk glass to add to it. Little confession, I didnt have one single piece of milk glass until a little over a month ago. I may have a little problem but Austin and I have so much fun hunting for a deal.

Home Tour: Living Room
8/11/2015
I know some of you have been wanting a tour of our home and here I am to deliver. I wanted to have everything perfect before I posted an official tour of our home but I realized that this house will probably always be a work in progress. I decided why not document it from the beginning and look back on how far we have come.
So... I will be going through room by room and giving a tour of our home and today I am starting with where we spend the most of our time: the family room.
To say our home is always changing is an understatement because things have been swapped around just since I took these photos. But I really love this space and being able to snuggle with the family. We snagged the coffee table and white chair for $15 at a community yard sale a few weeks ago and I am loving what they add to the space. I am excited to see how it evolves and even have some new touches ordered to add to it.
