Thank Goodness It's Friday - Link Up #3

Thank Goodness It's Friday! Right?

TGIF! is a weekly link up created by yours truly and my incredible friend Misty from Us & Him. It's all about real life moments, being true to yourself, and embracing the beauty of the hectic and crazy moments of our every day lives. We think reality can be beautiful, and we want to see and hear about your reality!

Check out the bottom of this post to link up your real-life moments from the week, or create your own Thank Goodness It's Friday! post and link it up :)

In an effort to keep it real, let me tell you exactly what I have felt like since my family left Monday... I want to pull my hair out y'all, every last strand!

I can be a bit of a perfectionist, and have some OCD tendencies, especially when it comes to my house. Between having company and the birthday party things are a little disheveled around here, but mostly it just looks like toys r us shelves were dumped over into my living room. Lilly officially has more toys than I know what to do with, and I have run out of room to store them. It took two days to catch up on dishes, and we are still working on the laundry. I feel like I am drowning in housework, and I don't know how to swim.

As I have mentioned in previous posts I take Lilly to play groups during the week. They have been a lifesaver for us. Lilly learns so much, and I get to socialize with other adults! This week they announced that someone somewhere decided to cancel them. As a military family resources like these are so important and this is not only shocking but very sad to us families with young kids. We are trying what we can to change this, but I am not very hopeful.

I don't know what is going on with that sweet child of mine, but mealtime has become a nightmare. She has been swatting the spoon away which sends her food flying everywhere, and all over me. I then give her some finger food, which she throws on the floor. Then the kicker, she starts signing for more. Dear sweet child, just eat your food and save your mothers sanity.

So how do we deal with though weeks in this house? Well, this Mama throws her hands up in the air.  Then I move the teepee in front of the TV and have a movie day in my pajamas with my family. Sometimes we all need a day (or two) to recharge, right?

Today is more of the same, I just am over this week. I woke up with an awful headache and a sour mood I cant seem to kick. I am finishing up this post in bed while Lilly naps - eating goldfish and watching Suits. I hope y'all had a better week than I did!

Be sure to link up a post about your week right here, Misty and I cant wait to hop over to your blog.
